End of Term - Christmas Message
Dear Parents/Guardians,
To mark another busy term, we are looking back at all our special events and activities.
STEM
Teachers are receiving training in the New Primary Math Curriculum.
All classes are following a Digital Skills Programme.
5th/6th are currently engaging in a land /yacht Lego project.
Our whole school took part in our creative schools baking initiative, this was a successful day with many treats on offer.
We have replaced the Junior Rooms Whiteboards with new Active Panel Screens, they are a wonderful resource.
THE ARTS
Backstage Theatre- Junior and Senior Classes attended shows during the term.
Ukulele Lessons continue funded by the school.
Creative Schools-children have engaged in cooking activities using our new school oven.
Heritage in Schools- Pupils took part in the traditional craft of weaving- beautiful mummers’ hats were produced.
P.E.
Tennis Lessons -8 weeks skills session
GAA coaching continues- the school are proud Winners of the Schools County Final.
In house football league finals this week 4-6th
Swimming Lessons for 5th/6th – 8 weeks beginning Jan 11th
FAI Soccer Longford tournament – date TBC - more details to follow in the new year.
Olympic Handball regional qualifier 7th of February 2024 - more details to follow in the new year.
