September–October Reflection

As we approach the midterm break, it’s been a wonderful start to the school year filled with creativity, learning, and teamwork.

In Art, pupils explored colour, form, and contrast through a range of seasonal projects — from expressive fox paintings and silhouette tree landscapes to vibrant Halloween lanterns. Each piece showcased their growing confidence and individuality in artistic expression.

Our Stone Age project has also been a key focus this term. Pupils researched daily life during the period, producing excellent written work and visual displays on food, hunting, and homes. A highlight was our “cave painting” activity, where pupils recreated prehistoric art by painting under tables to experience what it might have been like to create artwork in ancient caves.

With Halloween just around the corner, our classroom is filled with colour and excitement. It’s been a productive and inspiring start to the year, and we look forward to building on this momentum after the midterm break.
