🌿 Supporting Biodiversity at Fermoyle NS 🌿
We are delighted to share that Fermoyle National School has recently received a set of educational biodiversity booklets and a bird box, kindly provided by Longford County Council.
These resources are supporting our ongoing focus on biodiversity and environmental awareness across the school. Pupils are learning about:
-
Local wildlife and native bird species
-
The importance of protecting habitats
-
How small actions can support nature in our school grounds and wider community
The bird box will be installed on the school grounds and will give pupils the opportunity to observe and care for local birdlife, encouraging responsibility and respect for nature in a hands-on way.
We would like to sincerely thank Longford County Council for their continued support of environmental education in our school. 🌱
